Boost Your Confidence

How to Boost Your Confidence Before a Photo Shoot.

Whether you’re a model, a parent at a family photoshoot, a college graduand, A bride or Groom at your wedding or you just looking to take some self-portraits there is one thing you should always carry to your photo-shoot and that is…………….. Your Confidence!

Your confidence makes you look radiant in your photos. Never worry about your flaws; Photoshop can be used to hide the most unwanted and outstanding flaws. However no amount of photographic trickery will create a natural expression, a genuine glow, or that inner radiance that sparkles from the eyes of a confident person.

All of those things come from you. The camera simply records them – it can’t manufacture them. This is perhaps why being in front of the camera can be so intimidating.

When preparing for your photo shoot, the make-up artist and hairstylist (although I can recommend excellent ones) are not the most important. The true tips that can improve your confidence before a photo shoot are:
  1.      Take care of your body. Get lots of sleep, drink plenty of water, eat fresh foods, and exercise. At least do this for one week before the shoot.
  2.  .   Do something extra special the day before – preferably an experience. Go to your favourite Spa, watch a movie, go shopping, play golf. Volunteer for your favourite charity. Hike a trail. Give yourself a very fresh story to tell so you have something fun to think and talk about during your shoot.
  3.      Create a feel-good playlist of your favourite song tracks. If your shoot is outdoors, be sure to play your playlist on the way to the shoot so the songs are running through your mind.
  4.       Take a deep breath and savour your compliments. You can even write them down and carry with you to the shoot.
  5.       Share your hopes and fears with your photographer. Let them know you are trusting them, in spite of your insecurities, and ask them to guide you through. Be open to suggestion & to try the photographer’s suggestions, even if they don’t feel totally normal.
  6.       Remember to focus on how you feel. The camera is a magical device that records feelings. If you feel good, you look good.

Remember feeling good physically is just as important as feeling good emotionally and mentally. So feel your real smile, bubbling up from within. Take a deep breath, LOVE yourself and have your photo taken.

Tips for Brides for Wonderful Pictures on Her Wedding Day

We all want wonderful pictures of their wedding day especially the Bride. Here are five easy tips that for better wedding photos.
1)  Avoid Looking at the Camera (Unless your photographer asks you to)

Have you ever wondered why you don’t see actors looking directly into the camera in the movies? One of the reasons is to give the impression that the camera is “invisible.” So, watching a movie is like seeing all the action without being noticed. Not looking to the photographer will yield more natural-looking pictures. This doesn’t mean you turn your back to the photographer, you face them but you focus and attention is own y our groom or your guest and loved ones.

2) Smile More

The moment you’ve always dreamt of has finally arrived and you may be really anxious. Sometimes it’s good to take a deep breath and relax. Many brides spend the whole time at their ceremony with a serious expression. You want beautiful photos, don’t you? You want to look gorgeous, don’t you? It’s simple. Simply smile more. Let go of all the stress and planning. Smile while you’re walking down the aisle and during the whole ceremony. Relax, enjoy the day and really try to enjoy each moment. Oh! It’s good if your husband is all smiles also, right?

3) Show Off Your Love

It’s the one thing that EVERY wedding photographer likes? We like couples who interact with each other. What instantly makes a wedding picture more appealing are couples that look at each other, that smile at each other and that show off their feelings and love. And stay together during the reception! Spend time visiting friends and family together, eat together, and of course, dance with each other, and I cannot forget it but yes they kiss each other a lot.

4) Avoid Boooooooooring Formals

The formals have the potential to be the most boring pictures ever. How about we make them fun and try to create uncommon pictures? The guys can stand arm-crossed and looking each one to a different side… The bridesmaids can crack up for a really natural picture. The intention is to think outside the box and get more enjoyable photos in addition to the simple “stand in a line” shot.

5) Have Fun

The first thing to put in your head is that you must have fun on your wedding day. Forget about minor problems or insignificant details. Enjoy each moment of your day. So, laugh a lot, make funny expressions and be playful. Even if the two of you need a glass or two of champagne. Don’t forget, it’s a day to really be happy and to celebrate.

Wedding Photography Shot List

A wedding photo list can be a great tool for communicating between the photographer and the bride and groom. You can use this list to check off the selection of "must-have" poses and photos. Add notes to indicate the location for each shot, and possibly the style of photography (e.g., formal or candid) expected for each one.
Remember, there won't be time to take all of these pictures! The bride and groom should work on the wedding photography pose list with the photographer to determine priorities that will fit within the available time.
